Scotty Vincent, PhD
Founding Partner

Scotty obtained his Ph.D in neuroscience at UCLA, where he discovered that he preferred organizational and personnel development to pipetting. He leverages his training across neuroscience, psychology and computer science to breakdown barriers between technical experts and leaders, bringing focus to big-picture creatives, and necessary context to specialists deep in the weeds.

Key Strengths:

  • Operating in ambiguity and rank ordering priorities
  • Knowing when to avoid the administrative burden of formalizing process
  • Building systems that can be easily managed by others
  • Visual and written storytelling in biotechnology
  • Quickly understanding the nature of novel problems

What Sets Scotty Apart:

Scotty has done a little bit of everything outside of startups (restaurant management, investor relations in public small- and micro-cap technology companies, insurance sales, volunteer community development); and inside of startups (niche technical talent acquisition, facilities relocation, lab and safety operations, performance management, employee relations, accounts payable, procurement, fundraising, program management, grant management, etc).

Our leadership philosophy is grounded in empathy, transparency, and a relentless focus on results. We are driven by the challenge of solving complex problems and the satisfaction of seeing tangible impacts on organizational performance. Whether optimizing operations, developing high-performing teams, or navigating periods of rapid growth, we bring a combination of analytical rigor and emotional intelligence to every challenge.
